Helping Others......and selling Cupcakes to do it!

The older I get the more and more I realize how important it is to help others and I am very happy to say that my daughter Rylee is the one who encourages me to get involved.  Rylee is the type of child that will loose her mind when she see's litter on the ground.....we can not walk by without picking it up!  She is also very concerned when she sees commercials on tv talking about children in need.  I know she has it in her to change the world heck she might even rule the world one day!  The kid has passion she has spunk there is something really special about her and I am very proud to say she is my daughter. 

The reason why I wanted to talk about all of that is because my friend Gillian from Gigi Photography is hosting a Cupcake sale with her adorable daughters and all the proceeds will go to the The Cupcake Kids.  This foundation helps children in need in Africa.  I am so happy that Gillian opened my eyes to such a great cause!  This will be something that Rylee and I will do every year:)

Old Fashioned Vanilla with pink Icing
Decadent Chocolate with pink icing (if you really want another color, let us know!)
Chocolate with chocolate icing
Orders come in individual cupcakes, 1/2 dozen or a dozen.

Cupcake Kids Bake Sale!

One of the greatest things that you can do in life is give back and what is even greater is sharing that gift with your child!  I am really excited to be involved in the Cupcake Kids Bake Sale with Rylee, my friend Gillian of Gigi Photography and her girlies and also Tabitha of Yum Yum Desserts and her boys! 

We will be holding this bake sale on Friday, April 15th at Gigi Photography's studio 12 York street in Orangeville from 10:00am to 4:00pm.  We would love it if you preordered your cupcakes but drop ins are more than welcome......keep in reading for more information of how to order!

Oh how I LOVE Anthropologie!

I love Anthropologie the only problem is I can never bring myself to buy anything because I would just feel way too guilty as the prices are a little high:(
Here are some things that I have been dreaming about....

Coffee

So it is no secret that I love my Coffee and last week Gillian of Gigi Photography shared a great little recipe for home made creamer! 
Can I just say my hubby almost fell over when he had his Coffee that morning......it is now a staple in our fridge:)  I thought I would share this with you as well as it is super duper easy to make.

Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the jar........



Now add the 1 cup of milk....

Add about 1 tbsp of vanilla in there.....I think I added more....whatever floats your boat right?

Give that bad boy a shake....hold onto the lid.....go on and shake it some more.....

Now pour that sweet stuff into your coffee!

Add some Chocolate Biscotti on the side and enjoy!

I must say that I am just loving life these days!  I am feeling the love with Cutie Pies, my family is happy and oh so adorable and I am overjoyed that after all this taste testing that I can still fit into my jeans! 

I made a post on facebook the other day that was totally true......"My three passions in life are My Family, Food and Fashion" I really don't know what I would do without all three:)

FAMILY - It's just the three of us but I could not imagine it any other way!

FOOD - My favorite Cinnamon Buns! I tell ya I never get sick of these puppies

FASHION - The magazine that I get every month and read while I eat Cinnamon Buns and drink Coffee so I can stay in touch with what is going on in the fashion world

I Love Christmas

I must say I just love {Christmas}......I love the Christmas lights, baking, buying or making unique gifts that I know my family and friends will love, Christmas music and drinking hot chocolate with so much whip cream it goes up your nose:)  It was so great because this year we decided to leave little items around the house to show that Santa had been in our house.  We left a torn piece of his jacket on the fire place, he left behind his glasses by the cookie plate and Rudolph's bell somehow was left on the living room floor???????  It was full of sweet memories that I will hold in my heart forever.

My darn leg!

So many of you already know I have been stuck in bed with a bad leg!  I finally went to the doctor yesterday and he told me I tore a soft tissue in my leg?  I have no idea how this happened or when it happened but I am in so much bloody pain I wish it would just go away.  I was told to sit back and take it easy.....me take it easy did this doctor know who he was talking to?  For all of you that know me well I am go go go I don't sit still so it is killing me having to ask my husband to drive me some where, to make me lunch and to help me get in and out of bed.  This is just pure torture!

So because I have been in bed I have been doing a little online shopping.  back in December there was an amazing event in my little town of Orangeville called {Bella Noche} where are the local vendors can display all their amazing products.  One of which I fell in love with was Christine Taylor Designs I bought some super cute stuff for my daughter for Christmas and from there became a fan of hers on facebook.  So I have been searching her fan page while I have been stuck in bed and I have ordered a new camera strap, gadget case and I am in talks with her about designing a tote bag for all my pie boxes......This will make my life so much easier when I am delivering treats.  Now how CUTE will that be!!!!
